Email Phishing Scam - 5/14/10

Please be advised – Cache Valley Bank DOES NOT send any e-mails requesting sensitive information or requiring customers to install any sort of file or software on their computer.  If you have received an e-mail of this nature, it is NOT from Cache Valley Bank.  This is a phishing e-mail and is fraudulent.  If you have responded to an e-mail like this or if you have any questions, please call us as soon as possible at 435-753-3020

Text Message Scam – 8/28/09

Cache Valley Bank has been informed that a text message is being distributed to random cell phones with a message informing them that their ATM card has been suspended. The message instructs the recipient to call a phone number where they can enter personal information, such as their account number or credit/debit card number, to reactivate their ATM card.

This is a fraudulent text message and phone number that have been set up to steal account information from financial customers. Cache Valley Bank will never solicit personal information from you, such as account numbers, credit/debit card numbers, passwords, or PINs.
